In 2023, we felt God’s hand guiding us as we embarked on the journey to apply for Permanent Residency (PR) in Singapore. This application process, unique to Singapore, does not follow a traditional point system. We submitted our application early in 2023, but as January 2024 came and without a response, uncertainty loomed. Joel managed our entire PR process without any external help. Yet, towards the end of January 2024, I had a dream that we received our PR. This dream sparked a glimmer of hope, a vision of our impending approval.
Months passed without any news until a simple yet profound moment on April 30th. Our daughter, Sairah, overheard Joel and me praying and discussing our PR application. In faith, she placed a note on our vision board that read ‘PR 2024.’ Little did we know that within two days, after a 14-month wait, our PR was granted. On May 2, 2024, we received the news. This timely approval reminded us of the importance of faith and God’s perfect timing—more on why it was so timely in my next article. This experience brought to life the biblical principle of clearly inscribing our visions.
This journey reaffirmed God’s unwavering faithfulness, fortifying our belief that He is not done with His plans for us in Singapore. It stands as a testament to His divine guidance, reminding us of His continuous presence in our lives. Reflecting on our diverse origins—Joel and I born in India, Judah and Sairah born in the UK, all of us British citizens, and now Singapore PR holders—as our Pastor , proclaimed at our church staff meeting that we are global citizens. We are truly nomads on this earth with our permanent citizenship in heaven.
Our hearts overflow with gratitude as we acknowledge the Lord’s guidance thus far and place our trust in His ongoing direction for our future.
The verse from Habakkuk 2:2-3 resonates deeply with our experience: “Then the Lord replied: ‘Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.'” We are now ardent believers in writing down our God-given visions and watching God work in miraculous ways.
If you haven’t started writing down your visions, join our family in this practice. Pray over your God-given dreams and visions and witness God move on our behalf!
Consider this: So, what’s the takeaway from our testimony: 1. Trust in God’s Timing 2. Write Down Your Visions 3. Know that God is Faithful |
Thank you Sandy. This is such a blessing. I thank GOD for your testimony and I am inspired to write the vision down.
