Ela Koinonia is turning 3 this weekend! We can hardly believe it’s been three years since we got on this amazing journey. As we look back, our hearts are full of awe and gratitude for everything God has done. This anniversary is the perfect time to celebrate our wins, recognize where we can grow, and thank God for being our strong rock through it all. His faithfulness has been our guide every step of the way.
Just a while ago, we also celebrated another milestone – two years since our ordination as Pastors. Reflecting on that moment, we can’t help but be amazed at God’s work in our lives. The verse that has anchored us throughout this time is Psalm 23:5-6: ‘You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.’ These words have been a powerful source of strength and hope, reminding us of God’s never-ending love and provision through all the ups and downs.
We also find encouragement in Isaiah 40:31: ‘But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.’ This verse inspires us to keep pushing forward, knowing that God renews our strength daily. Another favorite is Jeremiah 29:11: ‘For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’ These promises reassure us that God has a wonderful plan for our ministry.
As we mark these special moments, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for every one of you who has been with us on this journey. Your support, prayers, and presence mean the world to us. He started this incredible journey, and we know He will see it through to the end.
We pray that God empowers us to make a big impact as we keep following His call. Proverbs 3:5-6 says it best: ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.’ Another verse we hold dear is Philippians 1:6: ‘Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.’ Our goal is to stay humble, seek wisdom from above, and honour God in every part of our lives and ministry. We’re committed to finishing well for His glory, knowing that with His guidance, we can touch many lives.
Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey. Here’s to many more years of growth, love, and serving God together!
Consider this Please consider writing to us! We’d love your ideas and comments on how we can make Ela Koinonia better. And remember, we’re here to pray for you! So, send us your prayer requests too. |

Seeing Beyond the Seen
In our fast-paced world, Christians are urged to use spiritual vision to perceive God’s work, especially during hardship. Via stories of Hagar and Elisha, the power of faith…

Love HOPES all things
Dear Love,I was there during those first steps,Cheered every move,I wiped off every fear of falling,Made walking a familiar groove,And when it was mastered, I just knew,That I wasn’t needed anymore,So I was made to bid adieu Years passed by and time saw a broken leg,There came a memory of me,helping you take those first […]

Doer of the Word
Hear, ACT, Repeat “Why do you want to be ‘that Christian’ who spend hours every day with God but does not live like Christ?”—asked a few people after reading my last blog. Not only do I understand their sentiment but I have also been there and experienced this myself. In my teenage and early adulthood […]

Love Believes all things
Dear Love,I generally come at night,but see in the daylight,they call me surreal, bizarre, realms of fantasy,‘cos I believe in everything I seeEven the impossible reverie,no boundaries, I am free, Sometimes, I am forgotten,sometimes, I stay,sometimes, I am nourished,sometimes, I decay,sometimes, I am made up,sometimes, thrown away,sometimes, I am chased,sometimes, they stop halfway,I still believe […]

In His secret place
Cuddles, love and laughter—these three words pretty much describe my mornings. The first thing that Judah and Sairah do every morning when they wake up is come into our room, jump onto our bed and just spend time with us. And we love having them in our room every morning—we have never grown tired of […]

Fire with wet wood
Oftentimes, I have thought to myself— “has my faith in God become weaker over the years?” “Do I still trust God with the impossible things?” “Have I become complacent?” The first time I prayed actively for healing was when I was nine-years-old. My friend had a huge boil filled with pus on her arm. It […]

Love bears all things
Dear Love,The sun, the chill,The unexplainable thrill,When the raindrops spill,And each time I brush past anything hard,A cut, an abrasion,Still I let out no shrill Every day in contact with new elements,Some good with positive compliments,Some hurtful, destroying my confidence,But I am that solid fence, soft yet dense,Wounds I got during self-defence,Yet I fight in all […]
