Recently, my friend in Singapore gave birth to a beautiful baby girl and she is a pure delight. We thoroughly enjoy being around her—our hearts are filled with joy when we look at her. And the exciting bit is watching her grow week after week. She is sweet and smiley most times but when she is hungry, she gets quite feisty and she will let everyone around her know and she must be nursed immediately. And after she is fed, she sleeps peacefully.
This reminded me of what the Word of God says in 1 Peter 2:2
2 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation,
Like babies, God wants us to be hungry and crave for pure spiritual milk. Highlight: Pure. Now, where can we get pure spiritual milk? — from a pure Spirit. And who is purest Spirit known to mankind—God. Only He can satisfy your hunger and only what He gives helps you grow in your salvation. So, run to Him all you who are weary and burdened, for He will give you rest. You might be tired, hungry and filthy, but God waits with His arms wide open for His children (babies). He cleans them, feeds them and gives them peaceful rest.
