On December 7, 2013, my wife and I embarked on a journey that would forever change our lives. It was on this day that we stood before the Lord and exchanged vows, committing ourselves to a lifetime of love and partnership. As we embarked on this journey of marriage, we had no idea of the extraordinary blessings that awaited us.

Throughout our years of marriage, one of our deepest longings was to experience the joy of parenthood. We prayed fervently for this desire to be fulfilled, but as the years went by, doubts started to creep into our hearts. We wondered if our dream of having children would ever become a reality. Little did we know that God had a miraculous plan in store for us.

In January of this year, our faith was reignited by a message from Pastor Joel, who spoke from Matthew 6:33, reminding us to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and that all other things would be added unto us. Inspired by this message, we made a conscious decision to dedicate ourselves to early morning prayer and seeking God’s will together. We brought our dreams and desires to His altar, surrendering them to His perfect plan. We held tightly to our dreams, but we held loosely to how God would bring them to pass. We trusted in His faithfulness and believed that He would fulfill the desires of our hearts in His own beautiful way.

And then, on February 19, 2023, our lives were forever changed. We received the incredible news that we were expecting a baby. The joy and excitement that flooded our hearts were indescribable. But God had even more in store for us. Three months later, during a routine ultrasound, we discovered that we were not just expecting one baby, but two! It was a double blessing, a double miracle, all in God’s perfect timing. We were overwhelmed with gratitude and awe at the goodness of our Heavenly Father.

As the months went by, we watched in wonder as our babies grew and developed within the safety of their mother’s womb. Every kick, every flutter, was a reminder of God’s faithfulness and His miraculous work.

And just last weekend, we had the privilege of dedicating our twins back to God. We stood before our church family, our extended family and friends, holding our precious little ones in our arms, knowing that they were not truly ours, but gifts from above. We acknowledged that God is the ultimate giver of life, and we were merely His stewards, entrusted with the blessed privilege of raising these two children in the ways of the Lord.

As we reflect on our journey, we are filled with gratitude and awe. We serve a God who hears our prayers, who sees our deepest longings, and who is faithful to fulfill His promises. He has turned our mourning into dancing, our sorrow into joy. He has made everything beautiful in its time.

Our twins, in their truest sense, add so much colour to our lives. They are gifts from Heaven, a reminder of God’s goodness and grace. We are humbled and honoured to be their parents, and we commit to raising them in a home filled with love, faith, and the knowledge of God’s unfailing love.

As we look to the future, we do so with hope and anticipation. We know that the same God who has protected us in the past will continue to watch over us and our children in the days to come. We trust in His plan, His timing, and His faithfulness.

Our journey is a testament to the power of prayer, the beauty of surrender, and the faithfulness of our Heavenly Father. We are forever grateful for His love and provision, and we will continue to serve Him with all our hearts.

Psalm 37:4-5 reminds us, “Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.”

We have witnessed these words come to life in our own story, and we are eternally thankful for His faithfulness.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking God’s kingdom, trusting in His plan, and surrendering your desires to Him. God is faithful, and He is always at work, even when we cannot see it. We pray that our journey of faith and miracles serves as a testimony to the goodness and grace of our Heavenly Father. May your faith be strengthened, and your hope renewed as you walk with the Lord in your own life’s journey.

Consider this:

Here are some to-dos from this week’s blog:

Seek God’s Kingdom First: Just as Matthew 6:33 reminds us, make it a priority in your life to seek God’s kingdom and His righteousness. Dedicate time each day for prayer, Bible study, and seeking His will. By putting God first in your life, you’ll find that all other things will fall into place.

Surrender Your Desires to God: Surrender your dreams and desires to God’s perfect plan. Trust in His faithfulness and believe that He will fulfill the desires of your heart in His own beautiful way. Let go of control and allow God to work in His timing.

Acknowledge God’s Blessings and Give Thanks: Recognize that all good things come from God, and express your gratitude for His goodness and grace. Consider dedicating your family, your career, or your dreams to the Lord in a special way to acknowledge His role in your life.
